We invite you to get the inside story of how chocolate is made from Founder and CEO, Dr. Gunars Valkirs. Walk through the chocolate factory as he explains the steps of production!
Along the way, you will taste samples from different steps of the chocolate manufacturing process that are not otherwise available to the public. Then taste the finished chocolate, 3 squares of our Maui Grown chocolate and 4 more of your own choosing! For an additional charge, enjoy alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverage pairings with your tasting. You will also receive a $25 gift card to purchase chocolate in the factory store or on our website.
For those 21 years of age and older, alcoholic beverages are available in the upstairs pavilion for pairing with the chocolate tasting selections for an additional charge. A valid photo ID will be required for any alcoholic beverage service.

Chocolate Factory Tour: Follow along as our owner takes you on a bean to bar journey through the factory
Tasting: Head upstairs to finish your chocolate tasting on our pavilion. Wine and Spirits pairings are available for those 21+ with valid physical ID for an additional charge.

Please check in at the front desk of the Ku’ia Estate Chocolate Factory 15 minutes before your tour is scheduled to start. All attendees must fill out waivers and sign them before you can participate in the tour. Covered parking is located behind our building off Kupuohi St.

No, We are a nut free production facility.
Do you have dairy free/vegan options?
Yes! Our Dark Chocolate is 100% dairy free.
Is your Chocolate Kosher?
Yes! All of our chocolates are re-certified every year by Chabad of Hawaii.
Can I bring children under 6 years old?
No, children under 6 are not permitted on the tour, and no refunds will be given for parties arriving with children under 6. This includes children carried on the body, strollers, etc.

- No-shows will be charged the full price.
- All re-bookings and changes to group size require 24 hours notice, no reservations will be changed within 24 hours.
- Children under 3yrs are not permitted on our Farm Tour and children under 6yrs are not permitted on our Factory Experience. No refunds will be issued for groups who arrive with younger children who do not meet these requirements. We appreciate your understanding.

Welcome to Maui Ku’ia Estate Chocolate Factory! We invite you to join us for a Chocolate Factory Experience and learn how we make award-winning bean to bar chocolate right here in Lahaina Maui.
As you are guided through the factory by our founder and CEO, you will taste cacao at different stages of production that are not otherwise available to the public!
Gain a full understanding of how we craft our delicious made on Maui chocolate, and meet the people that make it happen! You will have the opportunity to ask the experts any questions you may have.
After you finish the walkthrough of the factory with Gunars, you will enjoy a tasting of our finished chocolate in the upstairs pavilion. Each guest will receive a $25 gift card to spend on café treats, beverages and/or chocolate products in the store.
Our knowledgeable staff will be able to assist with any orders or additional questions that you may have during the chocolate tasting portion!
For guests that are 21 years of age, alcoholic beverages are available to order during the tasting upstairs in the pavilion.
Our liquor license does not permit guests under 21 in the consumption area.
On Sundays, 100% of the ticket proceeds from our Factory Experiences are donated to rotating local Maui nonprofits!
